Job summary

Nylacast Engineered Products Ltd is seeking a High Volume CNC Setter at our Leicester site. You will operate and set machine tools, ensuring parts meet engineering drawings and quality standards while achieving daily targets.

The role requires reading and interpreting engineering drawings, measuring with precision, and maintaining a clean, safe work area. Training will be provided and candidates should be reliable with a strong work ethic.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting Engineering Drawings is essential.
• Candidates should be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must maintain high accuracy and daily production targets.

Responsibilities

• Operate & set machine tools to production targets.
• Interpret technical drawings to ensure part conformity.
• Inspect products using handheld measuring equipment for quality.
• Identify and address quality issues promptly.
• Keep workstation tidy and comply with company policies.

High Volume CNC Setter

Reporting to: | Production Manager

Location | The role will be based at our manufacturing Site in Leicester.

Hours | Monday to Friday, 06:00 to 14:00 & 14:00 to 22:00, rotating weekly with a daily break

(Double Day Shift)

The Role

The successful applicants will effectively and efficiently operate machine tools, ensuring the company's product lines conform to quality standards and in accordance with the specified Engineering Drawing, whilst maintaining daily production targets.

Experience & Requirements

Main duties include:

• Operate & Set Machine Tools
• Ability to understand technical drawings
• Check & examine products
• Correctly and accurately use handheld measuring equipment
• Identify quality issues
• Hit daily production targets
• Keep Machine/workstation tidy and free from slips, trips and falls
• To act professionally in accordance with the company policies and procedures

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Be reliable and hard working and worked in a similar environment
• Be Familiar with CNC Machine Tools and Measuring Equipment
• Be able to read and interpret Engineering Drawings
• Be able to work with minimal supervision
• Full training will be given
