Job summary

Nicholas Associates Group Limited is seeking a Machine Operative for our Melton Industrial Estate (HU14) location. The role offers a Temp to Perm contract with starting pay of £13.92 per hour, rising to £15.36 per hour after 12 weeks, with overtime paid at premium rates. Driving is essential due to location.

Typical shifts are rotating: Week 1 6am-2:30pm, Fri 6am-10:50am; Week 2 2:30pm-12:10am. Immediate start or around notice period if required.

Responsibilities

• Attend morning meetings to discuss daily duties and training.
• Maintain clean, tidy workspaces and adhere to health and safety regulations.

MACHINE OPERATIVE

We are recruiting an experienced Machine Operative to join a highly rated manufacturing company based on Melton Industrial Estate (HU14). This is a fantastic opportunity that offers permanent placements with a starting pay rate of £13.92ph raising to £15.36ph after 12 weeks with any overtime paid at premium rates.

MUST BE ABLE TO DRIVE DUE TO LOCATION.

Shift pattern / Working hours

Monday to Friday Rotating shifts

Week 1 = Mon-Thur 6am - 2:30pm & Fri 6am - 10:50am

Week 2 = Mon-Thur 2:30pm - 12:10am (off on a Friday)

The Machine Operative role is a Temp to Perm contract that will commence with immediate effect however, if you do have a notice period with your current employer, we will work around that.

Job description

As a Machine operative you will be responsible for the manufacturing of shower trays and other bathroom products. Your duties will include;

• Working on various machines to manufacture shower trays
• Working to product specifications to produce various product types
• Operating numerous different machines which will involve continuous heavy lifting
• Interacting in morning meetings whereby the days duties will be discussed and further training provided on individual tasks
• Working at all times with a great attention to detail
• Working within all Health and Safety regulations at all times
• Ensuring work spaces are clean and tidy

The successful candidate:

To be considered for the position of Machine Operative you MUST;

• Have your own car/motorbike due to location
• Be physically fit and able to lift up to 25kg
• Be willing to learn new skills and duties quickly
• Have a positive, can-do attitude to work and show the willingness to learn and progress
• Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
