Job summary

SF Recruitment are recruiting for a Machine Operative to join a manufacturing business based in Eccleshall. This is a hands-on production role operating machinery, monitoring performance and quality, and helping ensure production targets are achieved safely and efficiently.

The role involves setting up and operating machinery, recording hourly production data, solving production or quality issues, and maintaining good housekeeping while working a rotating days/nights schedule.

£31,500 including shift allowance

Rotating Shifts (Days and Nights)
Week 1 - 06:45hrs to 19:00hrs Monday to Thursday (4 days)
Week 2 18:45hrs to 07:00hrs Monday to Wednesday (3 nights)

The Role

Working as part of the production team, you will be responsible for:

• Setting up and operating machinery in line with standard operating procedures
• Monitoring machine performance and recording hourly production data
• Identifying and resolving production or quality issues
• Escalating faults or performance issues when additional support is required
• Completing production records to maintain full product traceability
• Carrying out cleaning and maintaining good housekeeping standards
• Supporting technical trials and production projects
• Identifying opportunities to reduce downtime and material waste
• Contributing to continuous improvement activity
• Maintaining 5S standards across the working area
• Working in line with quality, health & safety and environmental procedures

The Machine Operative - What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone with previous experience working within a manufacturing or production environment who is comfortable operating machinery and working a rotating day/night shift pattern.

You will need to be comfortable working to production targets while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
