Job summary

Andy File Associates Ltd is seeking a Machine Operative – Moulding in the United Kingdom. The role involves loading and unloading a moulding machine to keep production running safely and efficiently, while maintaining a clean and organised work area.

Salary is £13.50 per hour with 38 hours per week on rotating shifts (6am–2:06pm and 2pm–10:06pm). This temporary position runs until at least Xmas and offers an opportunity to gain experience in a friendly manufacturing team.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Loading raw materials into the moulding machine.
• Unloading finished products and inspecting quality.
• Operating machinery safely and in line with procedures.
• Monitoring production and reporting issues.
• Carrying out basic quality checks on finished products.
• Following Health & Safety procedures and wearing PPE.
• Keeping machine and work area clean and hazard-free.
• Storing materials and finished products correctly.
• Assisting with packing finished products for dispatch.
• Supporting other production areas as needed.
• Working as part of a team to meet targets.

Our client is looking for a Machine Operative to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading a moulding machine, ensuring production runs safely and efficiently, whilst maintaining a clean and organised working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Loading raw materials/components into the moulding machine.
• Unloading finished products from the machine and checking them for quality.
• Operating machinery safely and in accordance with company procedures.
• Monitoring the production process and reporting any issues or defects to the supervisor.
• Carrying out basic quality checks on finished products.
• Following all company Health & Safety procedures and wearing the required PPE.
• Keeping the machine, work area and surrounding environment clean, tidy and free from hazards.
• Ensuring materials and finished products are stored correctly.
• Assisting with packing and preparing finished products for dispatch when required.
• Supporting other areas of production as and when required.
• Working as part of a team to achieve production and quality targets.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience working in a manufacturing, production or machine operating environment, although full training may be provided for the right person.

You will need to be:

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
• Health & Safety conscious.
• Able to follow instructions and production procedures.
• Quality-focused with good attention to detail.
• Physically capable of loading and unloading materials/products.
