Job summary

The Best Connection Oldham is recruiting a Machine Operative for a client in the Ashton-Under-Lyne area. This temp-to-perm role offers training to develop your skills and a strong path to permanent employment.

Hours are Mon-Thu 07:15-16:30 and Fri 07:15-10:15, with an hourly pay rate of £14.46. Overtime is available on permanent status. A background in machine operation is essential to apply.

Qualifications

• Strong background in machine operation/manufacturing.
• Recent checkable work history.
• Comfortable with repetitive duties.

Responsibilities

• Operate machine equipment and cut materials to size.
• Measure components and perform quality control checks.
• Carry out routine manual handling tasks as required.

Requirements of the Machine Operative

• Strong machine background
• Recent checkable work history
• Comfortable with repetitive duties

Benefits & Requirements:

• Hourly rate as above, with pay increases once permanent
• Overtime available once permanent at a premium rate
• 28 days Paid Annual Leave pro-rata for PAYE (inclusive of statutory holiday)
• Possible permanent position following a successful trial period
