Job summary

The Best Connection is seeking a NIGHTS Machine Operative to join its team in Hortonwood. The role focuses on packing products, labeling, and quality inspections, with progression to basic machine checks and setting adjustments.

Shift pattern runs nights (6pm–6am) on a weekly rotating basis, with a 46-hour Week 1 and 34.5-hour Week 2 schedule. Minimum 2 years’ recent experience required; heavy lifting and reliability essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years recent experience in a Machine Operative role or similar manufacturing environment.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects.
• Reliable, punctual and a strong team player.
• Able to commit to rotating night shift 6pm–6am.

Responsibilities

• Packing finished products and printing labels.
• Conducting quality inspections.
• Changing products over and adjusting machine settings.

Job Title: NIGHTS Machine Operative

2 Years minimum recent experience in Machine Operative role to apply.

Location: Hortonwood

Pay: Starting Nights - £15.01 Per hour. (Level 1)

Contract: Temp-to-Perm

Shift Pattern (Weekly Rotating - Nights 6pm - 6am)

Week 1:

Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday (46 hours)

Week 2:

Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday (34.5 hours)

Candidates must be available to work both weeks of the rota.

The Role

Your primary role will involve packing products, labelling, and conducting quality inspections. Over time, you will also be required to carry out basic machine checks and adjust settings as part of your development.
