Job summary

Pilgrim’s Europe in Grantham is seeking a Machine Minder to join our manufacturing team on an alternating shift pattern (06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00), Monday to Friday. The role focuses on operating and maintaining factory machinery while upholding health and safety standards.

You will carry out basic mechanical duties, set up and operate equipment, ensure quality and hygiene standards, and support deep cleaning and general factory service.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate and maintain machinery in a factory setting.
• Adherence to health and safety regulations and policies.
• Willingness to perform basic maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure personal and colleagues' health and safety in the factory.
• Maintain quality standards within the factory.
• Maintain hygiene standards for factory and machinery.
• Set up and operate machinery.
• Assemble and disassemble machinery for cleaning.
• Provide service to other areas of the factory.
• Carry out any other duties as required by the Manager.

Shift pattern:Alternating Shift: Monday to Friday,06:00-14.00, 14:0022.00.

Machine Minder is required to operate effectively and maintain and basic upkeep of the machinery as required. Must also be aware of health and safety regulations and adheres to them.

Salary starts from £560 per week, £30 992 per year

Key Responsibilities

• Responsibility for personal Health and Safety and the Health and Safety of other workers.
• To ensure that quality standards within the factory are maintained.
• To ensure that hygiene standards within the factory and machinery are maintained.
• To carry out basic mechanical duties in relation to the equipment within the factory.
• Required to set up and operate machinery.
• Assemble and disassemble machinery to facilitate deep cleaning.
• Provision of a service to other areas of the factory.
• Any Other Duties, which may be required by the Manager

Physical conditions

The job is performed mainly in a chilled factory area and involves extensive periods standing.
