Job summary

IPL, Forza & Kober is recruiting a Machine Minder for a dynamic production environment. You will monitor machinery, complete safety checks, and help implement SOPs while maintaining high cleanliness standards.

You’ll record pack rates, manage weights, and perform smooth changeovers with safety and precision. Strong teamwork and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-moving production setting.
• Practical mechanical skills and the ability to work methodically.
• Understanding of workplace health and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the work area to keep the machinery and environment clean and safe.
• Complete daily machine safety checks according to SOPs and PPM schedules.
• Assist with Standard Operating Procedures implementation and maintenance.
• Record packs per minute on machines and ensure correct product weights.
• Perform product changeovers with minimal downtime and accuracy.
• Coordinate with Packaging Team to ensure labels, packaging and film are ready.
• Report issues to Line Leaders and engineers clearly and promptly.
• Adhere to 'World Class' standards at all times.

About The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Machine Minder to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to take the next step in their career and join a global business with a £2 billion + turnover.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring the work area to ensure the workplace is safe and all machinery is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness
• Ensuring all daily machine safety checks are completed in line with the trained SOP's and PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) schedule
• Sharing responsibility for the implementation and maintenance to the requirements of Standard Operating Procedure's
• Monitoring and recording packs per minute (PPM) on machines whilst overseeing that products are not overweight/underweight
• Ensuring product changeovers are performed with minimal downtime but in a safe and accurate manner
• Collaborating effectively with the Packaging Team/ Packaging Coordinator to ensure that all labels, packaging and film is on the line and ready to use in good time before job is ready
• Liaising with and reporting any issues to the Line Leaders and engineers in a clear and concise manner
• Adhering to 'World Class' standards at all times

• Experience of working within a production and a fast moving environment
• Practical skills with strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work quickly and methodically
• Understanding of health and safety policies in the work place
• Drive to deliver results and problem solve
• Analytical thinker with attention to detail, whilst undertaking repetitive tasks
• Good communication skills with the ability to follow instructions
• Good level of understanding of the English language
• Excellent team working skills with the ability to work on own initiative
