Job summary

Scale AI, Inc. in London is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to own retrieval and knowledge representation components at the heart of Scale GP.

You will drive end-to-end ML deliverables, from research and prototyping to production deployment, working across knowledge bases, vector stores, RAG pipelines, and context engines that power enterprise agents. Ideally you have 5+ years building production ML/AI systems, a strong CS/ML degree, and deep retrieval knowledge.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production ML/AI experience.
• Master’s or PhD in CS/ML or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong knowledge of retrieval, RAG, embeddings, and vector indexing.

Responsibilities

• Own ML components from research to production deployment.
• Work on knowledge representation systems and RAG pipelines.
• Build and maintain integrations with data sources and vector stores.
• Develop context retrieval systems balancing recall and latency.
• Create evaluation frameworks and metrics.
• Deliver experiments and new capabilities with customers feedback.
• Collaborate across product, ML, and infra teams.
