About Tellme

Tellme is an AI-driven platform that enriches visitor experiences at attractions such as museums, aquariums, and heritage sites. We utilize computer vision and generative AI to deliver interactive and personalized experiences directly to visitors' phones.

After successful pilots with Madame Tussauds and National Museums Wales, we have closed our pre-seed round and are now building a scalable platform for wider rollout. We are establishing our founding engineering team and are hiring a Machine Learning Engineer to lead the development of our core AI systems.

Responsibilities:

1. Computer Vision: Develop systems to help our app understand what visitors are viewing, using techniques like image embeddings, similarity-based approaches (e.g., CLIP, vector search), or traditional methods like classification and object detection (e.g., MobileNet, YOLO).
2. RAG Systems, Data Pipelines & Internal Agents: Design data pipelines supporting AI features such as retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), internal LLM-based tools, and content workflows. Experience with vector stores, agent frameworks, or scalable data workflows is relevant.
3. MLOps & Deployment: Build and maintain infrastructure for AI models, including API serving, performance monitoring, and cloud deployment. AWS experience is a plus; other cloud platforms are also valuable. Experience with offline or edge device deployment is highly advantageous.
4. Collaboration & Growth: Work closely with the founder on product roadmap, priorities, and technical decisions. Opportunity to grow into leadership roles as the company expands.

Additional Details:

• Remote-first (UK-based), with regular travel to partner sites. London or Belfast locations are a bonus but not essential.
• Salary: £50,000–£70,000 + share options (0–2%), depending on experience.
• Start date: ASAP
