Job summary

Nordson Test & Inspection in Colchester, UK, is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, maintain and document machine control software for Nordson Dage tools. You will work on complex hardware-software integration, collaborating with engineering and hardware teams on‑site in Colchester.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
• Strong proficiency in C# in multi-threaded environments.
• Experience building UI and business-logic layers in .NET.
• Experience with Core C# .NET for GUI development.
• Experience with XAML, MVVM, XML, XSLT.
• Experience with EF Core and SQL.
• Experience with mocking frameworks (Moq).
• Good knowledge of TDD in software development.
• Strong numerical skills and analytical mindset.
• Experience designing software architectures for hardware-integrated systems.
• Experience with control software for hardware/building simulators.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain machine control software for Nordson Dage tools.
• Work with cross-functional engineering teams.
• Document software designs and instructions for use.
• Support and debug field issues.
• Participate in code reviews/code audits.
• Transfer code into volume manufacture.
• Mentor less experienced software engineers.
• Stay up to date on latest software techniques and trends.
• Any other reasonable duties.
