Waseley Hills High School is seeking a dedicated MAB ASD Achievement Assistant to join our SEND team within the specialist MAB provision. The role involves 1:1 and small-group support, helping autistic pupils access learning, build confidence and independence, and participate fully in school life.

You will work closely with the MAB Lead, SENDCo and teaching staff, delivering autism-informed strategies across mainstream lessons and targeted interventions.

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 32.5 per week, term time only + 5 INSET days

Salary: £19,948 - £21,261 (actual annual) Pay Award Pending

Waseley Hills High School is seeking to appoint a dedicated, enthusiastic and experienced MAB ASD Achievement Assistant to join our SEND team and work within our specialist MAB provision. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a secure understanding of autism and experience of working directly with autistic children or young people in an educational setting. You will play an important role in helping our pupils to access learning, overcome barriers, develop confidence and independence, and participate fully in school life. Working closely with the MAB Lead, SENDCo and teaching staff, you will support pupils within mainstream lessons as well as deliver targeted 1:1 and small-group interventions. You will use autism-informed approaches to respond to individual learning, communication, sensory, social and emotional needs and help ensure that every pupil receives consistent, high-quality support.

You will also work collaboratively with colleagues, families and external professionals to help our pupils achieve the best possible outcomes.
