Job Description
DUE TO FUNDING CRITERIA, THIS VACANCY IS AVAILABLE TO THE FOLLOWING:
4-year apprenticeship as a Support Service School Technician (Technical), undertaking a wide range of duties within Technical, Science, and AV/ICT within a school science department. You will be studying towards an HNC in Mechanical Engineering at Glasgow Clyde College, which is delivered on block release at East Kilbride & District Engineering Group Training Association Ltd (EKGTA).
Key Responsibilities
Provision of technical support required to support teaching and learning, including the safe use and maintenance of fixed machinery and equipment, safe storage and servicing of general school equipment and chemicals with due regard to Health & Safety procedures.
Key Skills
A keen interest in engineering, technical subjects, science and ICT/AV related work and processes would be helpful. You will be proactive and demonstrate problem solving skills and a practical attitude towards work. You should be able to work as part of a team of school-based technicians and demonstrate strong communication skills.
