Job summary

CBSbutler Ltd. is seeking an experienced M365 Technical Project Manager to support a merger and integration programme in Aberdeen. The role focuses on a complex tenant-to-tenant migration with a strong emphasis on hands-on M365 migration work and technical dependency management.

On-site requirement is two days per week near Aberdeen. Inside IR35 and a daily rate of £500–£540. Initial term is 3 months plus, with potential extension based on programme needs.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience of M365 tenant-to-tenant migrations is essential.
• Proven ability to manage technical dependencies across M365 ecosystems.
• Experience in merger, acquisition, divestment or integration programmes is advantageous.
• Excellent documentation and governance skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the M365 tenant-to-tenant migration across Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams and OneDrive.
• Identify, document and manage technical dependencies across legacy and target environments.
• Coordinate M365, identity, security, data, applications and information governance teams.
• Manage migration readiness, cutover planning and post-migration stabilisation.
• Maintain dependency maps, RAID logs, action trackers and technical documentation.
• Facilitate technical workshops and dependency reviews with stakeholders, suppliers and technical teams.
• Translate complex M365 technical issues and dependencies into clear actions and decisions.
• Support target-tenant readiness and migration planning.
• Identify delivery risks and dependencies and drive resolution with technical teams.
• Work closely with stakeholders across the merger and integration programme.

We are seeking an experienced M365 Technical Project Manager to support a major merger and integration programme, with a specific focus on a complex Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migration.

This is a highly technical PM role. Hands-on experience of M365 tenant-to-tenant migrations is essential - candidates without this experience will not be considered.

The successful candidate will sit between technical delivery and project management, using strong M365 knowledge to manage technical dependencies, coordinate specialist teams and ensure migration activity is properly planned and documented.

Essential Experience

• Proven technical experience of M365 tenant-to-tenant migration - ESSENTIAL.
• Strong technical knowledge of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
• Strong experience across Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams and OneDrive.
• Good understanding of Microsoft Entra ID, identity and access management.
• Experience managing dependencies across M365, cyber security, data, applications and information governance.
• Experience of migration planning, readiness, cutover and stabilisation.
• Ability to understand and challenge technical solutions and dependencies.
• Strong documentation and dependency management skills.
• Experience working with multiple technical teams, suppliers and senior stakeholders.
• Previous experience within a merger, acquisition, divestment or integration programme would be highly advantageous.

Desirable

• Microsoft Purview and M365 compliance experience.
• Power Platform experience, including Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI.
• Understanding of M365 security, retention, classification and information governance.
• Experience within energy, oil & gas, regulated or similarly complex enterprise environments.
• Microsoft or recognised project management certification.
