Proactive Appointments Ltd. in the United Kingdom seeks a Microsoft 365 Messaging & Collaboration SME to join its Digital Engineering team.

You will engineer, maintain and enhance enterprise messaging and collaboration services across Exchange Online, Teams and related security platforms. You will provide advanced Tier 3 support, drive platform improvements, and implement automation using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph while collaborating with Cyber Security teams to improve security and

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years’ experience engineering and supporting Microsoft 365 environments.
Strong hands‑on experience with Exchange Online administration and troubleshooting.
Extensive Microsoft Teams configuration and support experience.
Practical experience with Microsoft Purview, including DLP and compliance policies.
Experience with Microsoft Defender for Office 365 and Exchange Online Protection.
Knowledge of enterprise email security platforms, ideally Proofpoint.
Experience supporting Exchange Hybrid environments and migrations.
Good understanding of Microsoft Entra ID and Conditional Access.
Experience with Microsoft Intune.
Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
Experience using Microsoft Graph.
Good understanding of SMTP, DNS, SPF, DKIM and DMARC.
Proven experience providing Tier 3 support within enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

Engineer, configure and maintain Microsoft 365 messaging and collaboration services.
Administer and support Exchange Online, including mail flow, transport rules, shared mailboxes and permissions.
Configure, maintain and troubleshoot Microsoft Teams.
Support Exchange Hybrid environments, migrations and tenant optimisation.
Implement platform improvements and new Microsoft 365 capabilities.
Manage Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Exchange Online Protection and Proofpoint.
Configure email security, anti‑spam, anti‑phishing and threat protection policies.
Support Microsoft Purview, including DLP, Information Protection, Retention and eDiscovery.
Maintain email authentication standards, including SPF, DKIM and DMARC.
Work with Cyber Security teams to improve Microsoft 365 security and compliance.
Provide Tier 3 technical support and act as an escalation point for complex issues.
Troubleshoot Exchange Online, Teams, mail flow and email security incidents.
Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent solutions.
Monitor service performance, availability and platform health.
Support incident, problem and change management.
Maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
Develop PowerShell scripts to automate Microsoft 365 administration.
Use Microsoft Graph and administration tools to improve operational efficiency.
Identify opportunities for automation and service improvement.
Support Microsoft 365 Copilot readiness and emerging technologies.
