Job summary

Diamond and the Danny Sullivan Group is recruiting an experienced M&E Storeman for the Gartree site. You will take ownership of the site stores, ensuring materials, tools and equipment are received, checked, recorded and issued correctly.

The role requires strong stock control and ability to work within a secure site, supporting engineers and collaborating with site management and commercial teams.

Qualifications

M&E STOREMAN

Gartree | £50,000 - £55,000

An established M&E contractor is looking for an experienced M&E Storeman to join the team at HMP Gartree.

This is a site-based position supporting the day-to-day delivery of mechanical and electrical works within a secure environment. The role will suit someone who understands the importance of accurate stock control, safe working practices and keeping engineers supplied with the right materials at the right time.

THE POSITION

You will take ownership of the site stores, ensuring materials, tools and equipment are received, checked, recorded and issued correctly.

• Managing day-to-day M&E stores operations
• Receiving and checking deliveries against orders
• Maintaining accurate stock records and inventory levels
• Issuing materials and equipment to engineers and subcontractors
• Monitoring stock requirements and raising requests for replenishment
• Maintaining an organised and secure stores area
• Recording materials used across the works
• Supporting engineers with material and equipment requirements
• Ensuring site storage complies with health, safety and security requirements
• Working closely with the site management and commercial teams

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Previous experience as an M&E Storeman, Site Storeman or Materials Controller within a construction, building services or facilities environment is preferred.
• You should have a good understanding of mechanical and electrical materials and be confident managing stock within a busy operational environment.
• Experience working on prisons, secure sites, government facilities or other controlled environments would be highly advantageous.
• Due to the nature of the site, candidates will need to meet the relevant security and vetting requirements.
