Job summary

Build Recruitment is seeking an experienced M&E Site Manager to oversee the installation of mechanical and electrical services on a major new-build warehouse project in Braintree. You will drive quality, safety, and timely delivery from site setup through practical completion.

You will coordinate subcontractors, monitor progress against the programme, manage risk assessments, and produce regular progress reports to the M&E contracts managers, while maintaining clear daily communication with the

Qualifications

• Proven knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• SMSTS or SSSTS certification required.
• CSCS Gold Card or higher required.
• Experience using the Dalux system.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential.
• Demonstrated experience on commercial projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with industry tools.

Responsibilities

• Managing site inductions and supervising subcontractors, ensuring risk assessments and method statements are followed.
• Carrying out and documenting equipment safety checks.
• Delivering daily Toolbox Talks to reinforce health and safety standards.
• Monitoring progress against the project programme and adjusting schedules to meet deadlines.
• Ensuring all works comply with contract drawings and specifications.
• Conducting and recording quality inspections of installations.
• Providing regular progress reports to M&E Contracts Managers.
• Maintaining effective daily communication with the main contractor.

The Role

We\'re looking for an experienced and highly motivated M\u0026E Site Manager to oversee the installation of mechanical and electrical services on a major new-build project comprising three warehouse units in Braintree. You\'ll play a key role in driving quality, safety, and timely delivery throughout construction, working closely with subcontractors and the main contractor from site setup through to practical completion.

What You\'ll Be Doing

• Managing site inductions and supervising subcontractors, ensuring compliance with risk assessments and method statements


• Carrying out and documenting equipment safety checks
