Job summary

Build Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced M&E Site Manager to oversee installation works on a major new-build project of three warehouse units in Braintree. You will manage subcontractors, drive safety compliance, and ensure timely delivery from site setup through to practical completion on site in Braintree.

The role requires strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, SMSTS/SSSTS certification, a CSCS Gold Card, and proficiency with Dalux.

Qualifications

• Experience as an M&E Site Manager on major construction projects
• Proven knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
• SMSTS or SSSTS certification
• CSCS Gold Card or higher
• Experience using the Dalux system
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Managing site inductions and supervising subcontractors, ensuring compliance with risk assessments and method statements
• Carrying out and documenting equipment safety checks
• Delivering daily Toolbox Talks to reinforce health and safety standards
• Monitoring progress against the project programme, adjusting schedules to meet deadlines
• Ensuring all works comply with contract drawings and specifications
• Conducting and recording quality inspections of installations
• Providing regular progress reports to M&E Contracts Managers
• Maintaining effective daily communication with the main contractor

The Role

We're looking for an experienced and highly motivated M&E Site Manager to oversee the installation of mechanical and electrical services on a major new-build project comprising three warehouse units in Braintree. You'll play a key role in driving quality, safety, and timely delivery throughout construction, working closely with subcontractors and the main contractor from site setup through to practical completion.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Managing site inductions and supervising subcontractors, ensuring compliance with risk assessments and method statements
• Carrying out and documenting equipment safety checks
• Delivering daily Toolbox Talks to reinforce health and safety standards
