Job summary

LJB Management & Recruitment Services Limited is recruiting an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor for a high-profile data centre project in Blyth. You will oversee the commercial management of Mechanical & Electrical packages, ensuring cost control, timely valuations, and strong contract administration on a landmark £10bn hyperscale campus.

Working with the Commercial Manager and MEP teams, you will deliver robust commercial reporting, subcontract procurement, and cost risk management across this

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified QS with cost-management experience on construction projects.
• Experience managing NEC and/or JCT contracts.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and cost-control skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial aspects of M&E packages from procurement through final account.
• Prepare tender enquiries, evaluate subcontract returns and assist procurement.
• Administer M&E subcontract agreements and ensure contractual compliance.
• Prepare cost reports, valuations and applications for payment.
• Monitor costs, budgets, cash flow and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with MEP teams to align commercial objectives with programme delivery.
• Support changes, claims and cost-recovery processes.
