We are recruiting for a new M&E Quantity Surveyor at JCA Engineering

Take full financial and commercial responsibility for a portfolio of contracts, ensuring cost-effective delivery of contracted services within legislative and contractual obligations. You will also provide proactive financial support to delivery teams, processing monthly valuations, applications, forecasts, and variations.

Responsibilities include:

1. Estimating materials, time, and labor costs pre- and post-contract, and reporting opportunities to clients and estimating teams.
2. Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities and schedules of rates.
3. Collaborating with the estimating team for accurate prime costs and smooth transition to contract stage, including client meetings and site visits.
4. Analyzing supply chain costs for tenders and contracts.
5. Identifying and responding to commercial risks.
6. Managing contract terms and ensuring contract compliance.
7. Closing out additional work opportunities financially in the month of completion.
8. Managing quantity surveying teams and resource allocation.
9. Overseeing supply chain and subcontractor contracts from enquiry to completion.
10. Identifying change requirements and maximizing revenue while reducing risks.
11. Reporting on contract performance according to KPI protocols.
12. Managing financial applications, job costing, and forecasting processes.

Candidate requirements:

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the Mechanical and Electrical industry, ideally within a Data Centre environment. Ability to handle multiple projects and demonstrate leadership aligned with JCA's brand. Additionally, candidates should have:

• Quantity Surveying and/or Construction/Engineering Qualification (HND or Degree)
• MRICS accreditation
• Relevant CSCS card
• Strong analytical skills and experience with Document Management Systems, SharePoint, Dynamics CRM, Asta Powerproject, Excel, Anaplan, or similar
• Knowledge of statutory requirements, contract types, and processes in construction and engineering
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
