Job summary

CHS Group is seeking an Intermediate M&E Quantity Surveyor to join our London team. You will support Senior Surveyors and Commercial Managers on diverse M&E projects ranging up to £80m in value, including data centres, shell & core, and fit-out scopes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor project cash flow forecasts.
• Measure, value, submit and negotiate contract variations.
• Provide advice on commercial and contractual matters, including drafting correspondence.
• Prepare, submit and negotiate project final accounts.
• Commercial vetting of subcontractor tenders and contracts.
• Certification of subcontractor valuations and final accounts.
• Ensure business commercial processes are adhered to at project level.
• Assist in preparation and adherence to project purchasing targeting and costing budgets.

Intermediate M&E QS Required - Up to £60,000 plus package

I'm currently working with one of the leading M&E Contractors in London who are looking to recruit an additional Intermediate M&E QS to their team to help support their Senior Surveyors and Commercial Managers. The business have a great reputation for developing their staff and there will be an opportunity to manage your own smaller project in the coming years under the supervision of a Commercial Manager.

Ideal experience will be working within the commercial sector on projects valued at least £5m M&E and for someone to be degree qualified.

Typical work is within the commercial shell & core, data centres and commercial fit out sectors covering multiple projects across London valued anywhere up to £80m M&E

Duties:

• Prepare and monitor project cash flow forecasts.
• Measure, value, submit and negotiate contract variations.
• Provide advice to project staff on commercial and contractual matters including reviewing and drafting of correspondence.
• Prepare submit and negotiate project final accounts.
• Commercial vetting of sub contractor tenders and contracts.
• Certification of subcontractor monthly valuations and final accounts.
• Ensure that business commercial processes are adhered to at project level.
• Assist in preparation and adherence to project purchasing targeting and costing budgets.
