Job summary

Premier Technical Recruitment is seeking an experienced Mechanical and Electrical Manager (M&E Manager) for a Derby-based role overseeing M&E works across multiple projects and bids.

The ideal candidate will hold an HND or above in electrical engineering with at least 4 years in a similar role, and demonstrate strong electrical infrastructure knowledge. Excel and Word are mandatory; willing to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Qualified in electrical engineering with strong infrastructure knowledge.
• Experience supporting bids/preconstruction activities.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate and attend site surveys at tender and project stages.
• Evaluate M&E supplier proposals for scope, risk, programme and commercial alignment.
• Support bid team with pricing strategy, risk allowances, qualifications, and clarifications for M&E scope.
• Produce technical and delivery requirements for supplier quotations and inform delivery strategy.
• Attend design meetings with design sub-contractors as required.
• Provide technical and delivery support to Site Supervisor and Project Managers.
• Manage and review production of supplier designs and co-ordination of designers/installers.
• Manage M&E FATs and review relevant documentation.
• Review RAMS for suitability and alignment; manage site supervisors and handover.
