Job summary

Madigan Gill is seeking an experienced M&E Manager to lead the mechanical and electrical packages on a student accommodation development in Ealing. You will coordinate design, installation, testing, commissioning and handover to ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery on site.

You will manage M&E subcontractors, review drawings and technical submissions, monitor progress against the programme and report risks to the Project Manager.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an M&E/MEP Manager on student accommodation, residential, hotel or similar projects.
• Strong mechanical and electrical building services knowledge.
• Experience managing M&E subcontractors through installation and commissioning.

• Coordinate M&E works with the construction, design and fit-out teams.
• Review drawings, specifications and technical submissions.
• Manage RFIs and resolve design and coordination issues.
• Monitor M&E progress against the construction programme.
• Oversee quality inspections, benchmarks, snagging and close-out.
• Ensure works comply with relevant specifications, Building Regulations and H&S requirements.
• Manage testing and commissioning of M&E systems.
• Coordinate O&M manuals, as-built information and handover documentation.
• Report progress, risks and key issues to the Project Manager/Director.

Experience Required:

• Good understanding of construction sequencing and M&E coordination.
• Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• SMSTS and relevant CSCS qualification preferred
