Job summary

Thrive SW site-based role in Swindon seeks an M&E Maintenance Supervisor. Electrical or Mechanical qualification preferred; salary £48,000 per year for a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, on a large Swindon site.

The candidate will supervise on-site engineers, audit quality and safety compliance, and manage NICEIC administration. HVAC/air conditioning knowledge is a plus, with duties including producing quotes and ensuring safe, well‑resourced operations.

Qualifications

• Electrical 2391 qualification is required.
• Mechanically qualified with HVAC/air conditioning knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise on-site engineers, ensuring contract standards and customer expectations are met.
• Audit quality systems, SHEQ, compliance, and workmanship inspections.
• NICEIC quality supervision, inspections, and liaising with NICEIC managers.
• Maintain high engineering standards and attend regular customer meetings.
• Oversee MAXIMO CAFM system and ensure engineers are compliant.
• Prepare quotations for small projects and extra works.
• Provide resources, materials, tools, and information for safe working practices.

M&E Maintenance Supervisor

Swindon Site based

Electrical or Mechanical qualified

£48000 based on 40 hours Mon - Friday

Are you working as a supervisor within the Facilities Services sector and open to a new role working on a large site in Swindon

Ideally you will be Electrically qualified however we are open to Mechanical / HVAC Supervisors that have a good understanding of Electrical Planned, Reactive and Minor works projects

Key Accountabilities

• To supervise on site engineers in an effective and efficient manner, meeting the and expectations of the Customers Teams within the boundaries of the contracts.
• Carry out auditing to our quality systems including:, SHEQ, Compliance, and workmanship inspections
• NICEIC Quality Supervising, checking electrical installations, auditing and issuing of NICEIC Certification, liaising with the Regional NICEIC qualifying Manager
• Maintain a consistent high level of engineering standards
• Attend regular meetings with the Customer to discuss, and appraise the performance of the Contract
• Oversee the MAXIMO CAFM system in conjunction, audit engineers' tablets to ensure compliance
• Produce quotations for small projects, and extra works
• Ensure all operatives are provided with the necessary resources, materials , tools, and information to enable them to carry out their duties and for ensuring that safe working practices are adhered to

OPERATIONAL:

• Manage the out of Hours support, and escalation procedures
• Continuity of operatives rotas, ensuring an escalation procedure is place, and routine call outs and holidays periods are covered accordingly
• Support projects, small works and reactive works requests
• Provide support for statutory compliance/ planned maintenance activities
• Oversee the NICEIC administration for the Site
• To provide immediate focal for all matters relating to the business
• Ensuring continuity of statutory training for all operatives undertaking work of this nature Enabling our customers to excel

Technical Skills / Knowledge ESSENTIAL

• Electrically qualified, minimum of 2391, Electrical test and Inspection.
• Mechanically qualified with HVAC, Commercial Gas or Air Conditioning with Electrical experience.

Desired,

• Previous supervisory experience and AP qualified,
• Competent Fault finding on BMS and Control Systems, PAT Testing; Electrical Servicing would also be desirable.
• Commercially astute.
• Knowledge of PPM systems.

• Excellent attention to detail both verbal & written Have excellent & capable skills in IT documentation in Microsoft Office/Excel packages Respond and administer paperwork Systems to ensure the work force adheres to all planned maintenance, reactive & quoted works as required.
