Job summary

Parkinson Gray Associates is seeking an M&E Design Manager to lead a building services design team on large-scale UK construction projects, overseeing mechanical, electrical and plumbing design. Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Building Services or Electrical Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer (preferred) and CIBSE or IET membership.
• Experience leading multi-discipline engineering teams with sustainable design.

Responsibilities

• Lead the MEP design team within Building Services for major projects.
• Oversee coordinated MEP design solutions with sustainable, compliant, and cost-effective delivery.
• Collaborate with clients and colleagues to drive innovation and maintain quality.
• Support Head of Building Service in managing the business and allocated works.
• Develop strategic client relationships and optimize team utilization.
• Oversee feasibility studies, multi-stage designs, and condition reports.
• Develop team through technical, behavioural, and HSE aspects.
• Play an active role in business development, including fee responses and client meetings.
