Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Rail Systems M&E professional to lead technical assurance and delivery across complex rail projects in the UK. You will drive multidisciplinary coordination among signalling, power, communications, and M&E teams, review contractor proposals, and ensure designs meet client requirements and regulatory standards.

The role emphasizes safety, innovation, and continuous improvement, with responsibility for interfacing with clients and regulators and guiding project

Qualifications

  • Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience delivering complex Rail Systems and M&E projects within the rail infrastructure sector.
  • Strong understanding of systems integration and multidisciplinary project delivery.
  • Knowledge of Network Rail standards, railway assurance processes and relevant UK regulations.
  • Experience managing technical interfaces across signalling, communications, power and M&E disciplines.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Membership of a relevant professional institution such as IET, IRSE, IMechE or ICE, or working towards professional registration.
  • Proactive and collaborative approach with a commitment to innovation, safety and engineering excellence.
  • May require relevant security clearance.
  • May require proof of residency in the UK for 5 years or longer.

Responsibilities
