About the role

You will work closely with a transactions VAT Director and be a crucial member of the team, ensuring the successful delivery of interesting, challenging, and high-quality transactions tax technical projects.

Responsibilities:

• Completing indirect tax due diligence projects, identifying VAT risks, and making practical recommendations for clients, whether sellers or buyers of businesses.
• Providing tax structuring advice before and after transactions to deliver VAT-efficient solutions.
• Developing junior team members through delegation, coaching, and feedback.
• Assisting in business development activities, including proposal preparation and building client relationships.

About the ideal candidate

• CTA qualified or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience at Manager level or demonstrating the necessary skill set.
• Good knowledge of transaction work, either in a specialist or broader role.
• Proven client handling and relationship-building skills.
• Strong coaching and people development abilities.
• Business development experience or interest is advantageous but not essential.
