About the role

You will work closely with a transactions VAT Director and be a crucial member of the team, ensuring the successful delivery of interesting, challenging, and high-quality transactions tax technical projects.

Responsibilities

• Complete indirect tax due diligence projects, identifying VAT risks and providing practical, commercial recommendations to clients, including sellers or buyers of businesses.
• Deliver tax structuring advice before and after transactions to offer VAT-efficient solutions for clients.
• Develop junior team members through delegation, coaching, and feedback.
• Assist the transactions VAT Director in business development, including proposal preparation and building client relationships.

About the ideal candidate

• CTA qualified or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience at Manager level or demonstrating the necessary skills for the role.
• Good knowledge of transactions, either in a specialist capacity or as part of a broader role.
• Proven client handling skills and relationship-building ability.
• Strong coaching skills and an inclusive approach to people development.
• Business development experience or interest is advantageous but not essential.
