Job summary

Payward is seeking an Associate on the Corporate Development team to drive M&A and growth initiatives globally. You will lead due diligence on live transactions, organize data rooms, schedule sessions, and draft consolidated reports, while building operating models and evaluating transactions.

You will also manage venture portfolio activities, track KPI updates, and assist with cash flow forecasting for deal-related obligations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Actuarial Science, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience at a leading investment bank, VC, PE, management consultancy, or startup.
• Excellence in understanding and scrutinizing business models within a financial institution.
• Excellent financial modeling and valuation skills.
• Demonstrated problem solving, writing deal memos, and storytelling on industry trends.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis tools experience.
• Ability to manage multiple high-priority transactions in parallel.

Responsibilities

• Lead due diligence across live transactions with cross-functional DRIs, organize data rooms, schedule diligence sessions, and draft consolidated reports.
• Build initial operating models, trading comparables, precedent transactions, DCF and returns analyses, and accretion/dilution support.
• Produce first-pass screening memos and company teardowns on inbound opportunities.
• Support ownership of our venture investment portfolio: track deal terms, KPI updates, and valuation marks.
• Support M&A cash obligation forecasts for FP&A and Treasury.
• Prepare executive deal materials and Board pages with supporting data analysis.
• Additional duties as assigned.
