Job summary

WR Engineering in Dartford is seeking an LV Switchgear Test Engineer to join its team. The role involves manufacturing and assembling LV switchgear and control panels from drawings, installing components and wiring, and attending customer sites as part of the installation team.

Candidates should read circuit diagrams, hold Level 2/3 Electrical Installation qualifications, a UK driving license, and ideally have CSCS/ECS cards. Overtime is frequently offered and parking is available on-site.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification is required.
• Must be able to read circuit diagrams.
• A valid CSCS or ECS card would be beneficial.
• Must have a valid UK driving license, as the role involves potential travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and assemble bespoke LV switchgear and control panels from engineering drawings.
• Assemble panel frameworks.
• Install electrical components.
• Assist with panel wiring and mechanical assembly.
• Attend customer sites as part of the installation team.
• Carry out continuity testing on installed switchgear to verify connections and identify any faults
