Job summary

MPI Limited seeks an Electrical Test / Commissioning Engineer to operate between the St Albans premises and client project sites. The role focuses on LV switchgear testing, including protection relays, controls, and metering, with the ability to read electrical schematics.

Involved in witness tests and preparing certificates, with additional wiring and busbar duties as required. Experience with PLC systems is an advantage, and site-based testing at client locations will be routine.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical testing of LV switchgear including protection relays, controls and metering.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematic diagrams.
• Experience with test certificates and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical tests on LV switchgear and control panels.
• Conduct tests witnessed by clients at Company premises or project sites.
• Execute site acceptance tests with client witnesses at project sites.
• Liaise with clients and project teams during witness tests.
• Prepare test certificates and related documentation.
• Carry out wiring modifications when required.
• Assist with installation of busbar systems in sheet metal enclosures when needed.
