Job summary

CDM Recruitment Ltd - Engineering & Manufacturing Specialists is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the design and projects team. You will design LV switchgear, control panels and MCCs, producing detailed schematics and layouts from client specs and project requirements.

You will collaborate with estimating, production and site teams, support FAT/SAT testing, and help deliver projects from design through to installation and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical design for LV switchgear, control panels and MCCs.
• Strong understanding of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and panel layouts.
• Knowledge of BS7671, BS EN 61439 and IEC standards.

Responsibilities

• Produce electrical designs, schematics and panel layouts.
• Work from client specifications and project requirements.
• Support estimating teams with technical input.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers and internal departments.
• Support FAT and SAT testing.
• Produce technical submissions and O&M manuals.
• Manage multiple projects from design through to delivery.
• Provide technical support to sales, production and site teams.
