Job summary

AMB Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced LV Jointer to join a small, established field team in Leicester (with travel). You will carry out live and dead LV network jointing across PILC and modern cables on building sites across the Midlands and beyond, leading on-site with a jointer's mate.

Standard hours are 8:00am-4:00pm, Monday to Friday; salary is £41,700-£52,100 per year, paid PAYE, plus call out/overtime. Holidays are 21 days plus bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence
• EUSR card (electrical) with LV jointing authorisations
• First Aid at Work certificate
• Manual Handling certificate
• Solid, proven experience as an LV jointer, ideally including PILC cable
• City & Guilds LV jointing qualifications (or equivalent)
• Reliable, punctual and trustworthy, with a stable work history
• Willing and able to commit to the weekend on-call rota
• Applications from a jointer and jointer's mate who work together are welcome

• You’ll deliver residential PILC "de-looping" projects and work on infrastructure and building-site contracts.
• You’ll lead and support a jointer's mate on site and travel to sites across the Midlands and further afield, sharing the driving with your mate.
• You’ll also cover a weekend on-call rota for reactive callouts, with an additional daily payment while on the rota and further payments if called out.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced LV Jointer to join a small, established field team. The team carries out LV cable jointing, PILC cable de-looping and infrastructure works on building sites across the Midlands and beyond. This is a hands-on role leading the work on site with a jointer's mate. It suits someone reliable and experienced who wants steady, long-term work with a stable, owner-run business.

Hours, Salary & Holiday

Standard hours are 8:00am-4:00pm, Monday to Friday. Travel time is not paid, though there's some flexibility on finish times for jobs further afield.

Salary is £160-£200/day, paid PAYE directly on the company's books, working out at roughly £41,700-£52,100 a year.
