Job summary

Rubix is seeking a skilled electrical motor technician to join our engineering workshop in Grimsby. You will perform motor electrical static testing, manufacture LV/HV coils, and rewind LV/HV motors, following HSEQ policies. You’ll work as part of a team, communicate clearly, and adapt to site work and on-call requirements.

Ideal candidates are IT literate, able to document inspection results and timekeeping, and able to collaborate across engineering functions to maintain service levels.

Qualifications

• Able to complete all necessary motor electrical static testing.
• Able to manufacture LV/HV coils.
• Able to rewind LV/HV motors.
• Ability to work within a team and problem solve.
• IT literate, e.g. use of tablets and associated software.
• Ability to communicate both written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Work to RUBIX UKII HSEQ policies and procedures.
• Complete all necessary motor electrical static testing.
• Complete the manufacture of LV/HV coils.
• Complete the rewind of LV/HV motors.
• Provide all necessary inspection, job record and timekeeping reports throughout the job process, in line with RUBIX UKII policies and procedures.
• Support other job functions as requested by supervision, including site work and operating in other engineering workshops.
• Active participation in on call rota, shift working and overtime requests to ensure service levels are maintained.
