Job summary

AEP Global is seeking an experienced LV Authorised Person to join its growing Critical Infrastructure Team across the UK and Europe. You will play a key role in safe installation, energisation and commissioning of LV systems, working with Senior Authorised Persons and project teams to uphold the highest safety and quality standards.

This role offers clear progression into Senior Authorised Person roles, ongoing training, and the chance to work on major infrastructure projects with a supportive

Qualifications

• Proven LV Authorised Person experience.
• Electrical apprenticeship or recognised electrical qualification.
• City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent Inspection & Testing).
• ECS/CSCS Card held.
• Strong understanding of LV electrical systems and safe isolation.
• Experience in mission-critical, industrial or infrastructure environments.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• SMSTS or IOSH certification.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience supporting commissioning and energisation programmes.

Responsibilities

• Operate within Permit to Work and Electrical Safety Rules.
• Manage LV isolations and energisation activities.
• Inspect electrical systems prior to energisation.
• Work alongside commissioning teams during testing and handover.
• Attend coordination meetings with contractors and clients.
• Maintain accurate permit and isolation records.
• Promote a strong safety-first culture across every project.
