Job summary

Johnstons of Elgin is seeking a full-time Weaver to join the busy Weaving department in Elgin. You will operate weaving and warping looms to produce luxurious textiles, with a 38-hour week on a rotating early, back and night shift pattern.

The role includes monitoring loom quality, replenishing creels, and ensuring output meets the production plan. Ideal candidates will follow instructions precisely, work well in a team, and possess strong attention to detail and colour vision.

• Ability to carefully and accurately follow verbal and written instructions.

• Good colour vision and attention to detail are essential.
• Organised and reliable, able to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Operate weaving and warping looms to produce textiles.
• Monitor looms for defects, colour and pattern consistency; report issues.
• Replenish weft creels with yarn and maintain quality standards.
• Work with attention to detail to meet the production plan.
• There are manual handling tasks and heavy lifting may be required.
