Job summary

Johnstons of Elgin in Hawick, Scotland, is seeking a Mending Operative to join our growing team. The role focuses on repairing faults on garments, with 38 hours per week on dayshift in a full-time permanent position.

Full training will be provided, and prior experience in mending or similar crafts is valued. You will work carefully to identify repairs needed, select materials, and complete high-quality repairs to our luxury fabrics.

Responsibilities

• Picking up and sorting bundles of garments to identify items requiring repair.

• Locating and preparing the correct materials to complete the repair.
• Ensuring all repairs meet the required quality standards.
