Job summary

ML Projects UK is a London-based practice seeking a Project Coordinator to manage end-to-end retail store openings. You’ll support Project Managers through pre-construction, construction delivery, and store opening phases, ensuring on-time, on-spec delivery.

Ideal candidates understand luxury retail fit-out requirements, manage Building Control submissions, and keep trackers and documentation impeccably accurate for fast-paced project delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years working in UK retail construction, shopfitting, or retail project management.
• Direct experience managing Building Control applications for retail fit-outs.
• Practical understanding of CDM Regulations 2015 and Principal Designer responsibilities.
• Working knowledge of UK Building Regulations (Part B, Part L, Part M).
• Familiarity with RIBA Stages 4-7 and required deliverables.
• Understanding of luxury retail fit-out standards and brand guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Review project trackers to identify critical path items and flag risks.
• Coordinate regulatory submissions with Project Managers, contractors, and authorities.
• Manage CDM documentation, consultant appointments, and tenders.
• Administer tender processes, BOQs, and evaluate contractor returns.
• Maintain accurate trackers (Smartsheet) and distribute status updates.
• Prepare and distribute meeting reports, capture actions, and follow up.
• Coordinate site inspections and manage RFI logs, variations, and handovers.
• Track expenditure against CAPEX and flag variations.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and authorities to resolve programme issues.
