Job summary

ESA Engineering is seeking a Project & Construction Manager (client-side) to lead complex luxury residential and retail projects in a UK setting. You will plan, coordinate, and control resources, liaising with the project owner, designers, and contractors to ensure schedule, cost, and quality targets are met.

Responsibilities include defining objectives, managing contracts, coordinating teams, controlling costs, mitigating risks, and delivering final documentation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ project management experience, ideally in consultancy, focused on high-end residential/luxury projects up to £5 million.
• Degree in Building Surveying, Project Management, or related field; MRICS/MAPM or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent communication and relationship management with internal/external stakeholders.
• Strong problem solving, negotiation, and risk management skills.
• Commercially aware, quality-driven, and able to work under pressure.
• A collaborative, high-performance team player.
• Demonstrable experience with BIM platforms (Revit, Navisworks) and project scheduling tools (MS Project, Asta Powerproject) and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Define project objectives and develop detailed plans for all phases.
• Handle contracts JCT and standard employer/contractor forms.
• Coordinate and supervise project teams and contractors across stakeholders.
• Monitor costs according to critical path, resources, and cash flow.
• Manage risks and issues with timely interventions.
• Oversee CDM client duties and handover/defects.
• Maintain payment certificates and client-contractor relations.
• Close project with as-built docs and contractual compliance.
