Job summary

Holland Cooper is seeking a Garment Technologist to ensure technical integrity, fit and quality from proto to production across Ladieswear, Menswear and Childrenswear. You will translate concepts into commercially viable, technically sound products that meet brand standards.

You will plan and run fit sessions, develop specs, and maintain technical documentation in the PLM system, while resolving construction and fabric issues with suppliers and factories in the UK, Europe and the Far East.

Qualifications

• Experience interpreting patterns, technical drawings and measurements.
• Knowledge of textiles and luxury tailoring.
• Experience in quality control processes.
• Strong communication across design, production and suppliers.
• Previous garment technologist experience in fashion or outerwear preferred.
• Proficiency with pattern-cutting tools, CAD or PLM is an advantage.
• Relevant qualification in Fashion Technology or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support garment construction and fitting across multiple product categories.
• Plan and attend fit sessions with supplier comments.
• Fit, develop and approve samples from development to production.
• Develop and maintain technical specs, size charts, and documentation in PLM.
• Identify and resolve construction, fit, fabric, testing, or QA issues with suppliers.
• Support development of technical brand manuals and cross‑team communication.
• Arrange seasonal block and specification reviews.
• Carry out occasional QC inspections and review external QC.
• Work to critical path to meet deadlines.
• Build relationships promoting the technical function.
• Collaborate with suppliers to improve quality and ethical standards.
• Be based at Head Office in Cheltenham, UK.
