Job summary

The Botanical Rooms at The Newt in Somerset is seeking an attentive waiter/waitress to provide warm, polished service in a luxury setting. You will manage 5–8 tables, deliver refined table service, and share provenance stories to elevate the guest experience.

Role requires prior waiting experience and strong communication. Driving license recommended due to estate location; 40 hours across 5 days including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in a luxury restaurant/hospitality environment.
• Confident carrying three plates safely.
• Barista and wine service experience (WSET Level 1 a plus).

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent service while confidently managing 5–8 tables.
• Complete mise-en-place to high standards.
• Provide full table service across food, wine, beverages, Afternoon Tea, coffees and teas.
• Build strong knowledge of menus, ingredients and provenance, sharing this with guests.
• Collaborate with restaurant, hotel and wider Estate teams.
