Job summary

Burberry in London is seeking a Fabric Development Assistant to join the Fabric Development team. You will support the end-to-end fabric development process across seasonal collections, ensuring milestones are met and information is accurate.

Working with Fabric Developers, suppliers and cross-functional teams, you will maintain PLM records, coordinate supplier communications and help ensure samples arrive on time and within budget. Proficiency in PLM, Excel and Adobe InDesign is valued.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within Fabric Development or a related product development environment.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy across large volumes of information.
• Commercial awareness with an understanding of costs, budgets and product development processes.
• Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and external partners.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in PLM systems, Excel and Adobe InDesign, alongside a genuine interest in luxury fashion, textiles and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Support the end-to-end fabric development process across seasonal collections, ensuring key milestones are met.
• Maintain and update PLM systems with accurate fabric information throughout the development lifecycle.
• Partner with Fabric Developers to coordinate supplier communications and help ensure sample deliveries arrive on time and within budget.
• Prepare and maintain fabric pages, collection boards and fabric bibles to support product development activities.
• Manage fabric libraries and provide accurate fabric information to development and design teams.
• Raise purchase orders for fabric samples and provide administrative support to facilitate efficient team operations.
