Job summary

Orchid Healthcare in Bedford seeks a Nursing Home Manager to lead a luxury elderly care home and drive outstanding care standards.

The permanent, full-time role requires 40 hours per week with a salary up to £60,000 per annum, dependent on qualifications. You will oversee clinical, administrative and care planning functions to deliver high-quality care and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Home Manager is required.
• Hold RMA / NVQ5 or equivalent and valid NMC PIN if applicable.
• Experience in budgeting and recruitment is essential.
• Passion for elderly care and high-quality care standards.

Responsibilities

• Promote clinical and administrative arrangements, training and care planning within the home.
• Organise and motivate carers to ensure high standards of care.
• Maintain and monitor the health and welfare of residents.
• Liaise with GPs and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
• Ensure CQC National Minimum Standards are met and residents are well supported.
• Organise and attend regular staff meetings and ensure smooth operations.
