Gilpin Hotel & Lake House in the Lake District is seeking a Breakfast Chef de Partie to lead the morning service, craft elegant breakfast dishes, and support exclusive events at Gilpin Lake House.

You’ll work independently during breakfast, collaborate with the Lake House team, and uphold Gilpin’s calm, luxurious standard in every plate.

Salary £34,060 per year, 50 hours per week, with meals on shift, staff benefits, and relocation support if applicable.

Qualifications

• Proven experience within a fine‑dining or high‑end kitchen environment.
• Impeccable attention to detail and pride in presentation.
• Confidence working independently during breakfast service.
• Strong technical skills across hot breakfast, patisserie, and refined finishing.
• A calm, professional presence and positive attitude.
• Flexibility, initiative, and strong organisational skills.
• A willingness to embrace a varied role across breakfast, afternoon tea, and exclusives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the morning service, prepare and present elegant breakfast dishes.
• Create refined afternoon teas and support exclusive private events.
• Ensure every dish reflects Gilpin’s luxury standards and consistent quality.
• Coordinate with Front Office, Housekeeping, and F&B for smooth operations.
• Mentor junior team members and maintain high hygiene and kitchen organisation.
