Job summary

Harrison Scott Associates is recruiting for a Traditional Textile Print Operative in Cumbria. You will set up and operate flatbed and rotary screen-printing lines, ensuring accurate registration and consistent ink application across fabrics.

The role requires hands-on maintenance, real-time quality checks, and the ability to troubleshoot machine issues in a busy production environment. Day shift available, Tuesday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating industrial textile printing machinery (flatbed or rotary).
• Strong technical eye for fabric mechanics and paste application.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform precise line changes.
• Reliable, quality-driven team player in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Machine Operation & Setup: Safely set up and operate flatbed and rotary screen-printing lines.
• Precision Registration: Mount and align screens/cylinders for accurate repeats.
• Ink & Paste Management: Monitor paste flow and viscosity for uniform application.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect fabrics in real-time and correct defects promptly.
• Line Maintenance: Clean mesh screens, blades, and cylinders to minimize downtime.
