Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Consultant Clinical Oncologist with a site specialist interest in Lung and Urology to join the team at Royal Preston Hospital and Blackpool Victoria Hospital on a full-time permanent basis.

The post includes 10 programmed activities and an on-call supplement, with flexible/ HOME-working elements where possible and a commitment to collaboration across the Lancashire Cancer Alliance.

Competenze

• Full GMC Registration and Licence to Practice.
• MBBS or equivalent qualification.
• Holds CCT or equivalent or will obtain within 6 months of interview.
• Must be entered on the Specialist Register for Clinical Oncology by appointment date.

Mansioni

• Provide a comprehensive Oncology service with consultant colleagues and site cancer services.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop Oncology services.
• Work with and support multi-disciplinary site specific teams.
• Participate in the out of hours on call service.
• Liaise with surgeons, physicians and staff in other specialties and within the Trusts.
• Support the service during Consultant colleagues' leave.
• Provide supervision and management of junior medical staff.
• Undertake teaching, examinations and continuing education.
• Undertake clinical audit and annual job planning review.
• Undertake research.
