Job summary

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Preston is recruiting a Consultant in Clinical Oncology.

Candidates should have Full GMC Registration, MBBS or equivalent, and hold or obtain CCT; a Specialist Register entry is required.

You will work in a multidisciplinary team, contribute to audit and service development, and support professional revalidation while resident within 30 minutes travel time.

• Trained Clinical Supervisor
• Wide experience of Oncology practice- including relevant experience in Radiotherapy and chemotherapy

• Trained Educational Supervisor
• Stereotactic radiotherapy experience

Management

Essential criteria

• Evidence of Clinical Leadership
• Evidence of commitment to audit and improving clinical practice/service development

Desirable criteria

• Formal management training

Essential criteria

• Effective communication skills.
• Good organisation skills.
• Works well within a multidisciplinary environment.
• Committed to collating and responding to patient feedback in line with revalidation recommendations
• Resident within 30 minutes travel time to Preston
