Job summary

St Luke's Primary School in Scunthorpe is seeking a dedicated individual to support pupils with a range of needs in mainstream and/or special settings. The role involves personal care duties at lunch times and during planned interventions throughout the day.

You must be prepared to move and handle children with disabilities; training will be provided. The successful candidate will contribute to positive relationships and inclusive practice across the school.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children in mainstream or special schools or early years settings.
• Experience with personal care needs desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of personal care needs at lunch times and during planned interventions.
• Be prepared to work with pupils across a wide range of needs and ages.
• Move and handle children with physical disabilities; training is provided.

Job description

Thegoverning body is keen to appoint a people who may have substantial and recentexperience of working with children in mainstream and/or special schools orearly years settings. Experience ofsupporting children’s personal care needs is also desirable.

You will berequired to support all aspects of personal care needs at lunch times and inother planned interventions throughout the school day. You must be prepared towork with pupils with a wide range of needs and with different age groups. Youwill be deployed according to the organisational needs of the school.
