Job summary

Oasis Academy Marksbury Road in the West of England is inviting applications for a School Meals Supervisory Assistant (SMSA) to join our lunchtime team. The role provides 2 hours of supervision per day during term time, with inset days for training.

You will supervise pupils in the dining hall, promote positive behaviour, and support pupils' safety and wellbeing. The post offers training and opportunities to develop skills in safeguarding and pupil supervision.

Qualifications

• Ability to engage positively with children and promote good behaviour.
• Reliability and flexibility to support additional hours when needed.
• Good communication skills and a caring approach.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow safeguarding procedure.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils during lunch in the dining hall and promote positive behaviour.
• Maintain a calm, friendly atmosphere and support good table manners.
• Encourage pupil safety and wellbeing during midday break.
• Respond to minor behavioural needs and report concerns to senior staff.
