Job summary

Ganton School in Kingston-upon-Hull is seeking a Lunchtime Supervisor to help create a safe, positive lunchtime environment for pupils aged 2–19 with complex needs. You will supervise individuals and groups, support wellbeing and promote positive interactions under the guidance of senior staff.

The role is term-time only (190 days a year), permanent, with 7.5 hours per week (Mon–Fri 12.00–1.30pm). You should have strong communication, plan engaging activities, and a first aid qualification or

Qualifications

• Experience working with children of varying ages and backgrounds
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to organise activities that engage children
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children and young people

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during the midday lunch break
• Assist in dining hall supervision and during meal service, promoting good eating habits and manners
• Plan and deliver playground games and group activities
• Resolve behavioural issues under guidance of senior leaders
• Provide basic first aid for sick children or minor injuries
